Our Methodology

How HomeGPA works

HomeGPA evaluates six major areas of home performance — Energy, Water, Air Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Weather Readiness — using HomeGPA standards benchmarked against similar homes nationwide.

The assessment is designed to give homeowners a clear benchmark and a personalized improvement roadmap.

HomeGPA is a home performance benchmark. It is not a substitute for a professional inspection, appraisal, engineering report, or insurance evaluation.

HomeGPA is operated by Gambol Home, a home services provider. Improvement recommendations may include services offered by Gambol Home or independent local providers.

Most homeowners know their credit score.
Few know their home grade.
